La Grande Parade de Chantilly features high on the list of the most popular events with the people of Chantilly, and the region of L’Oise. At 2.30. p.m. on the 31st of December 2006 Chantilly’s Parade will take to the Streets once again. The eclectic mix of participants never fails to excite a huge and enthusiastic crowd. The music of some of the finest marching bands from the United States and Europe will set the tone for a fabulous procession of American Razzmatazz and European style. There really is something for everybody in the Chantilly Parade from the superb Cavalcade of historic vehicles to the clowns, the typical historic French regional floats, not forgetting the carnival bands, dancers, and the fabulous return of the American cheer dancing groups from UDA, affectionately known as ‘les pom poms’.
The Parade starts from the junction of the de L’Aigle and Avenue de Maréchal Joffre. It proceeds along Avenue Mareshal Joffre past the Mairie and the Market Square and then into rue du Connetable, finishing just before the Arch and Le Musée du Cheval Viviant.
Le Grande Parade de Chantilly provides the perfect finalé to the year we are about to leave behind.
